Where All About YOU Began

All About YOU began with jewelry.

I have always loved how a piece of jewelry can add beauty without changing the person wearing it. It may hold a memory, reflect a personality, or simply make someone feel a little more put together. Handmade jewelry allowed us to create pieces with character rather than offering something that looked exactly like everything else.

But as much as we loved the jewelry, we gradually realized that the name All About YOU held room for something larger.

It was not only about what someone wore. It was about the whole person and the many parts of life that contribute to feeling comfortable, cared for, and at home.

Growing Beyond Jewelry

Our interests have never fit neatly inside one little box.

We enjoy making beautiful things, but we also value usefulness. A lovely object is even better when it has a purpose and becomes part of everyday life. That understanding opened the door to candles, hand-sewn pieces, home goods, and other items intended to bring warmth and beauty into the home.

The expansion was not a rejection of where we began. Jewelry remains part of our story. We were simply discovering that our work could include more than we first imagined.

This is one of the lessons we have learned along the way: finding your direction does not always mean leaving the old road behind. Sometimes it means recognizing where that road has been leading you.

The Addition of Woodworking

Woodworking became a natural addition to All About YOU through Tim’s craftsmanship and love of traditional furniture and useful wooden pieces.

Charcuterie boards and cutting boards are among the newer additions to our collection. They are practical items, but they also reveal the natural beauty of the wood. No two boards are exactly alike. The grain, coloring, and small variations give each one its own character.

A wooden board may be used while preparing an ordinary family meal, placed on the table when friends visit, or given as a gift for a wedding, anniversary, or new home. Over time, it may collect the marks of use and become part of a family’s story.
